12. Hans ReynoldHe was a Swiss/British engineer, inventor and industrialist who invented the brush roller chain, founding the Reynold manufacturing textile-chain making business in 1879. Born in Aarau, Switzerland, in 1906 he opened his Reynold Chains factory in Burnage. He lived at Priestnall Hey on Mersey Road in Heaton Mersey from 1901. |

13. Peter Simon BarnesHe is an English former international football player, manager and pundit. An England Youth and under-21 international, Barnes was a member of the UEFA European Under-19 Championship winning team in 1975. An attacking left-sided winger, his playing career spanned 19 years and took him to 25 clubs across eight countries including Manchester City and Manchester United. [He is the son of Ken Barnes, who won the FA Cup with Manchester City in 1956]. He won 22 senior caps for England. He lived at March Avenue, Norris Bank. |

She played the character for 55 years from January 1961 to January 2016 making her the longest-serving female cast member in a British TV soap opera. She was appointed an MBE in the 2010 Queens Birthday Honours list for her long acting career. |

Norman Robert Foster, Baron Foster of Thames Bank, OM, Kt, RA, Hon. FREng.He was born in Reddish and was schooled nearby at Burnage Grammar School for Boys. He is a British architect and designer. Foster is recognised as a key figure in British modernist architecture. His architectural practice Foster + Partners, first founded in 1967 and is the largest in the United Kingdom, maintaining offices internationally. He is the president of the Norman Foster Foundation, created to 'promote interdisciplinary thinking and research to help new generations of architects, designers and urbanists to anticipate the future'. Foster designed the Gherkin and in 2004, he designed the tallest bridge in the world, the Millau Viaduct at 1,104 feet, in Southern France. |

19. Sally Jane LindsayShe is an English actress and television presenter known for her roles as Shelley Unwin in the long-running ITV soap opera Coronation Street. Her first television appearance was aged 7 when she sang in the St. Winifred's School choir. When she was 24, she met and became friends with comedian Peter Kay. Subsequently, they appeared together in Phoenix Nights. In 2006, she played Marilyn Monroe in the musical Ella, meet Marilyn. She appeared in an episode of Through the Keyhole in December 2018, where it was revealed that she lived in Heaton Mersey. |

20. 'Lemmy' - Ian Fraser KilmisteIn Stockport in Lemmy's early years 1960 -1970, he joined local bands the Rainmakers and then the Motown Sect who played northern clubs. In 1965, he then joined The Rockin' Vickers. He next became a member of Hawkwind from 1971 to 1975 and sang lead vocals on their hit "Silver Machine". In 1975, he was fired from Hawkwind after an arrest for drug possession. He then founded the rock band Motörhead, as lead singer, bassist and primary songwriter. The band's success peaked around 1980 and 1981, including the hit single "Ace of Spades". He lived in Heaton Moor in the early 1960s. |
